When artwork is sent to us, it needs to be “print ready.” We request that you send a PDF, but high quality images (300 dpi) will work as well. In addition to the preferred PDF, we can handle many of the application files available on the market today.
PDF, EPS, AI, PSD, PNG, TIF, TIFF, JPG
Maximum File Size
All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch) resolution. The images designed for the web have a low screen resolution of 72 dpi. Print images need to be created at 300 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
All 4-color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) color mode. All black and white artwork and/or images must be provided in grayscale color mode. Heavy black might cause smearing. Indicate Pantone (PMS) colors when spot color colors are used for printing and provide artwork in Pantone color mode.
Fonts must be embedded in PDF files. Some fonts have copyright restrictions and will not embed in pdf files. Embed all images and outline text in Illustrator files. Outline text in QuarkXPress files. Flatten all layers when working in Photoshop.
